Remote learning activities

Below are some activities that your child can have a go at completing whilst school is closed. We would love to see any of the activities you complete. For more practical activities please take photo and email to the school office. We can then share these as a class.

Phonics and Reading
Make sure you have read your reading book. Have a go at writing some of your sounds. Can you think of words containing the following sounds:
-qu
-sh
-ch

Drawing club (Writing)
Pick one of your favourite stories to read. After you have read that story, pick a character from the story and have a go at drawing them. Don't forget to think of a code to tell us about your picture. Remember your code needs to be a word or a sentence. Try to use your Phonic knowledge to write this code.

(Parents: Encourage your children to use their Phonics knowledge to write the word.)

Maths
Go on a shape hunt around your house or garden or local area. What shapes can you see?

Understanding the World
A great way to learn about the natural world is to get out and explore it!  Whatever the weather is today, we encourage you to go outside and experience the weather.  Look at what is happening to plants and animals during this time.  Is there any snow, frost or ice to touch or melt?  Can you do something fun and creative (snow angels, snow men, draw in the snow or frost, arrange natural objects?)
